We love to support non-profits that help our local community. To that end, we have made a yearly commitment to support a different non-profit every year, the exception being Clinica Martin Baro in San Francisco. We choose to support this clinic year after year because as a minority owned business, we have experienced first-hand, the struggles and challenges many immigrants face. Our own CEO Charlie Gonzalez, a Guatemalan American had to work many years without health insurance. The mission of this student run clinic is to “provide a preferential option for the poor in health care”. We fully support their goal to serve the under-served and economically disadvantaged Spanish-speaking community of the Mission District of San Francisco. This year we supported the clinic by hosting a night of celebration and gratitude at our local favorite restaurant Amoura in South San Francisco.
We encourage all to learn more about the clinic, and donate if you are able. We are a micro business, yet we have always found ways to support causes that are close to our heart right here in our own neighborhoods. Thank you to all the students, faculty and volunteers who walk and accompany the poor and under-served and do so with dignity and respect.
