IFMA - San Francisco Chapter event at the NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council)
April 4, 2017
On March 23rd we attended an IFMA - San Francisco Chapter event at the NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) offices in San Francisco for a Living Building Challenge: Building towards a Healthier & Happier Future presentation.
"The Living Building Challenge framework is helping designers, architects, and general contractors to transform the approach at every level of planning, design, and construction to create regenerative spaces that connect occupants to light, air, food, nature, and community. Our panel will discuss the components of the Living Building Challenge - including each of the seven key performance areas (Petals) - as well as how these key performance areas compliment, overlap, and exceed existing building design & construction certifications such as LEED and WELL. Additionally, our panel will discuss the impact of material choices & construction methods on the health & wellbeing of occupants and the environment."
Lead presenter: Eileen Quigley, Sustainability Officer at Natural Resource Defense council, LEED/LBC Strategy Advisor
Co-presenter: Anjanette Green, Materials analyst at Stok
